Mercury-Free Fillings Near Briarcliff Manor, NY
Restore Your Overall Health & Well-Being
Mercury is a known poisonous neurotoxin and can be deadly to the human body. It is widely recognized as a major contributor to the body’s burden of heavy metals, a common denominator in the development of chronic degenerative disease. Unfortunately, mercury has been a common ingredient in metal amalgam fillings and dental restorations for years. At The Center For Holistic Dentistry, we proudly offer only mercury-free fillings near Briarcliff Manor, NY, for your health and safety. If you have existing mercury fillings you’d like to have removed, our professional mercury filling removal can help restore your oral health and overall well-being.
Mercury-Free Means Toxin-Free
Our entire team is committed to providing you with the best care possible. We recently studied with Thomas Rau, MD of the Paracelsus Clinic in Switzerland. Along with other leading integrative physicians, Dr. Rau recognizes mercury from dental fillings as a major contributor to the body burden of heavy metals, a common denominator in the development of chronic degenerative disease.
Mercury amalgam fillings often develop decay around them and can break down over time due to wear. In certain cases, they need to be removed due to the medical diagnosis of mercury toxicity. You may even choose to have yours removed for aesthetic reasons or because you are concerned about the risks of having them in your teeth.
Determining mercury toxicity requires testing and diagnosis by a Medical Physician. If you do not have a physician knowledgeable in the diagnosis and treatment of heavy metal toxicity, we will be happy to offer a referral.
Mercury-Safe Protocols
Our team is committed to minimizing your risk of exposure during removal. We use protocols developed by the IAOMT, an international organization of dentists, physicians, and scientists focused on research and education about allergy and toxicity associated with commonly used dental materials, which includes mercury.
Palladium and nickel, other metals that have commonly been used in crowns, are also known to stress the immune system. Even titanium used in dental implants can trigger allergic responses in sensitive patients. Because of this, we screen all materials we will use in your care to ensure they are safe for you.
Protection, Protection, Protection
During your treatment, we will provide you with a mask that covers your nose and allows you to breathe oxygen, instead of the vapor that is generated when the mercury fillings are removed. We use a rubber dam on the teeth we are treating, so they are isolated from the rest of your mouth to keep you from swallowing mercury-filling dust.
A high-speed vacuum will be used to suction the debris that’s generated by the old fillings, and another vacuum (IQ Air) will remove the aerosol and mercury vapor that is generated. The IQ Air also filters the mercury and other toxins out of the air. Disposable surgical drapes will be placed over your body to avoid contaminating your skin and clothing.
